RG Flex® Telecom Power Cable

Cablcon (formerly Jupiter Communications) exclusively offers RG Flex® cables, a family of DC Power Cables that have been tested and certified by Telcordia and meet the functional performance requirements of GR-347 Issue 3, TPR.9212 and ATIS-0600017.2020. RG Flex cables, also known as Central Office Power Cables, are Telcordia-certified meaning that the L2, L3, and L4 power cables are suitable for use in all telecommunications applications including central offices, remote terminal applications, data center and outside plant remote cabinets that house electronics equipment.

Distinguishing L2, L3, and L4 Cables

These cable types differ in lay method and presence of a braid. L2 and L4 (Class I) use rope lay, enhancing flexibility and strength. L3 (Class B) employs conventional helical stranding for cost efficiency, with fewer, thicker strands. L3 and L4 have a flame-retardant cotton braid for fire resistance, while L2 lacks a braid in models like TelcoFlex II and EcoSafe CO II.
